Annette du Toit created Paradigm Shift Training in 1996 to inspire ‘those who are ready’ to heal physically as well as emotionally – mostly their painful childhood. As a transformational facilitator and healer, she is committed to a lifelong healing and learning. Annette’s professional background includes twenty years’ experience as a Management Training Consultant and Trainer.
In 2000 Annette qualified as a Reiki Master and in 2002 as a Karuna Reiki Master.
Annette brought to South Africa the first computer based ‘Aura in Motion’ aura-reading bio feedback programme. She also introduced South Africans to ‘Walking the Sacred path of the Labyrinth’ with her portable canvas classical 11 circuit Labyrinth she created from scratch.
Searching for a deeper meaning of life and a deeper spiritual connection with the universe, Annette started her journey during the early 80s when she attended the controversial (then) iAm Training, (same as EST in the US), followed by Joyspring and other programmes including The Leadership Training. She realised the power of this transformational work and became an assistant on these trainings for about 10 years. In 1982 she continued her quest for knowledge and self-healing when she went to the USA and Canada and did numerous workshops, ‘more than I care to remember’, she says. Courses included the Dr Silva Mind Control and Touch For Health, ‘cornerstones in my development’, and more than 20 years later, the essence of this work is still around and used extensively.
In 1986 Annette studied with ‘Lead The Field Africa’ 2 powerful programs – ‘Energy and Man’ and ‘Successful Achievement’. ‘Little did I know how the universe was preparing me for the work I am doing today.’ Successful Achievement was none other than what we know 23 years later as the movie ‘The Secret’. We studied the work of Wallace D Wattles – The Science of Getting Rich and Financial Success through the Power of Creative Thought, Earl Nightingale, Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, John Randolph Price, Henry Ford, Abraham Hicks, Thomas Edison and Andrew Carnegie.
Annette resigned from her corporate position as a Management Training Consultant and qualified as a Transformational Facilitator at a Louise Hay Teacher Training course in England in October 1996. This equipped Annette specifically to facilitate the Love Yourself Heal Your Life Workshop created by Louise Hay the world-renowned author of bestselling books including You Can Heal Your Life, which has sold more than 30 million copies.
Louise Hay and Dr Patricia Crane decided soon after that training to spread this incredible self-healing work faster across the world and invited 6 people from different continents to be trained to train others to qualify as facilitators. Annette was invited from South Africa and in May 1998 she was accredited by Louise Hay at a ‘Teacher Teacher Training’ in the USA as a Master Trainer.
Since then she has facilitated hundreds of workshops and trained hundreds of teachers in South Africa. Annette is truly grateful to Louise Hay and Patricia Crane for the enormous impact this work has had on her life and the lives of the people that have benefited from attending these awesome healing courses.
Annette’s journey led her to develop two more Teacher Training Programmes to equip participants to facilitate workshops for young children, LifeSkills4Kids as well as a Teacher Training to facilitate a workshop for Teenagers, LifeSkills4Teens, including a workshop for parents, Positive Parenting.
Two exiting new workshops, Create the Magic!, and Abundance made Easy, were launched at the end of 2005. Annette is using the Principles of The Law of Attraction combined with the very powerful Emotional Freedom Techniques – E F T Matrix Re-imprinting to facilitate breakthrough coaching sessions for her clients.
Annette has developed a home based healing course for adult woman who were sexually abused in their childhood – Heal Your Secret.
Annette works with care and compassion, understanding and empathy with all individuals involved. ‘We have a code of confidentiality between all participants. We create a very safe healing atmosphere to provide you with the tools you need to continue on your personal path of growth, self-love, happiness and healing’ says Annette.
Annette seems to love living on the edge and always seeks out new challenges that moves her out of her comfort zone. From doing ‘The Fire Walk’ to on road and off-road motorcycling in very remote areas. ‘Each challenge provides me with learning and growth experiences which enriches my life’, says Annette‘. She took up scuba diving at the age of 60 and has dived at the most sought after diving spots along the South African coast.
When Annette is not training or developing new stuff, she travels with her family to game reserves in South Africa to practice her love for photography. Her favourite travelling spots are Kruger National Park, the Namibian dessert and the Okavango swamps in Botswana.
